Study Soup launched the StudySoup peer-to-peer learning marketplace in 2014, and now we are announcing our new Future Innovator Scholarship Program. When we were in school, we found that success in the classroom can be a pretty ambiguous thing. Every class has hours of lectures and dozens of readings. Come midterm time, most students are overwhelmed and have no idea how they should study. Without fail, however, there are always a few top students in the class who know exactly what it takes to be successful. We decided to empower those top students to help their peers, and make money, by posting their best study materials to StudySoup.com.

Scholarship resources for minority students
African-American Grants The nonprofit group Demos recently reported that 84% of African American students used Pell Grants to finance their education and graduated with debt, compared to just 60% of white students. With both segments of students enrolling in college at similar rates, it's alarming that African American students receive significantly less funding than their white counterparts.
To help bridge this funding gap, our college planning experts at OEDB.org developed a list of scholarships and grants specifically for African American students. We provide context for how students can best take advantage of available resources while offering a listing of 15 scholarship and grant opportunities.
CollegeScholarships.org has helped students find financial aid since 1999 and recently launched an interactive searchable database listing over 23,000 financial aid programs.

Despite our country’s ongoing economic volatility and increased college costs, the financial aid picture for minorities has never looked brighter. Currently, billions of dollars are set aside each year specifically for Asian Americans, African American, Hispanic American, and Native American students. This funding is open to minorities at any level (high school through postdoctoral) for a variety of activities including study, research, travel, training, career development and creative projects. While numerous listings provide general financial aid opportunities, there seems to be a lack of online scholarship listings specifically for minority groups. As a result, many advisors, librarians, scholars, researchers and students often have been unaware of the extensive funding opportunities available for minority groups. We wanted to change this by providing an extensive listing of scholarships exclusively for minority students on AffordableColleges.com here: http://www.affordablecolleges.com/resources/scholarships-for-minorities/
Here at Intern Solutions, we connect students and other young adults with job solutions every day, and lately, we’ve noticed a fantastic trend: more and more people are opting for a trade rather than a white collar career. And our team couldn’t be more thrilled about it! Not only do these careers fulfill a passion for their employees, but they are and always will be in high demand.
I think about it this way: if I had a home repair project I wanted done or car trouble I needed addressed, there is no way — no WAY — I would have the skills to get the job done myself. And I know I’m not alone.
With that in mind, we’re working on a campaign to share scholarship opportunities available to aspiring trades workers. Following are some great ones that I’ve found, and that I hope you’ll consider sharing on your site.
Tobacco-Free Life Academic Scholarship Are you passionate about creating a tobacco-free world? Tobacco-Free Life awards $2,000 in scholarships each quarter to students who are committed to preventing the suffering and death caused by smoking. If you share our vision, we want to support you in your academic study.
RoverPass Outdoor Entrepreneur Scholarship
Student working RoverPass was founded on an incredible love for exploration. Whether you’re a spelunker, cross-country skier or deep sea diver, the outdoors offers experiences that transcend everyday life, and the RoverPass team wants to encourage a culture of adventure-seekers.
The Outdoor Entrepreneur Scholarship is based on RoverPass’ founding ideals, with a mission to fund tomorrow’s top outdoor industry entrepreneurs. Through this, our hope is to give back to the next generation of adventurers.
So, maybe you’ve started building your own off the grid sustainable tiny-house or you’re passionate about the outdoors and got bit by the entrepreneurial bug - we’re eager to help fund your dream. We’re fixing the large and disorganized outdoor RV and camping industry, and will grant $1000 to any student we believe has the potential to change the world through entrepreneurship. If you are interested in starting your own business, we'd love to hear from you.
The scholarship will be won by one student each semester; entry for the Fall semester is May 1st to August 20th and for the Spring semester it’s open from August 31st to December 31st. Winners will be announced on August 31 and January 2nd of the subsequent year.
